FAPS.
A name that for more than twenty years has been synonymous throughout
the world with qualitative perfection in the fishing tackle sector. A
company that focuses on the highest levels of technology so that its products
meet the needs of even the most exacting anglers, perfect instruments
that are adaptable to any type of prey or fishing environment. The success
achieved over the years by FAPS is based on the company's attention to
research, the use of advanced materials and cutting-edge technology, all
blended with the determination of a winning team that is never content
to rest on the laurels of its many successes, but strives continuously
to anticipate the future.
A FAPS fishing rod is a jewel of technology, the final product of a complex and yet carefully-organized process that begins in the Research and Development Department, where our experienced technicians examine, study and test ever more sophisticated materials, assisted by the Commercial and Technical staff and a number of specialist University research teams. The result of this phase of the process is the prototype version of a new and revolutionary fishing rod of which the FAPS production team can be truly proud. Not only was FAPS the first company in Italy to manufacture an all-carbon fishing rod, the first poles in the world with bullet joints, the first hexagonal sections and rods with multiple fittings; indeed, FAPS has constantly developed an infinity of new models and new production methods. However, our greatest source of satisfaction is and remains the enormous number of anglers who use rods made by FAPS, which are by now used all over the world.
MANUFACTURE
The superior quality of a FAPS rod enables anglers to obtain truly superb performance. This is made possible by constant improvements in the manufacturing process, which today is based on the use of modern and exclusive production equipment. All the spindles used to produce the carbon tubes that comprise the rods are produced entirely in the FAPS workshop. The pre-impregnated materials used in production are the very best available, having been developed by the aerospace industry. This phase of research, planning and design is followed by skilled hand-crafted construction down to even the tiniest detail, so that control over the process is total. Every carbon frame is assembled by hand, and the finished product is then tested and controlled. With its efficient production structure, FAPS has designed and manufactured more than 300 models of fishing rods for river, lake and sea-fishing, and much of the credit for their superb performance is due to the professional skills of our specialist craftsmen. The rods produced by their hands become remarkable instruments that will be reliable companions to the most exacting of anglers on many thousands of exciting angling adventures.
